Eek! It’s March! Meteorological spring is here. Blink and you’ve missed 2 months of the year, or is that just me?

When the year hasn’t gone to plan – and why that’s perfectly OK

I had big plans going into 2026. I turn 50 in June (which I’m still in a bit of shock about! But school friends have started to become 50 and none of them – to date – have disappeared into a puff of smoke, so I *think* I’ll be OK. Maybe.) and this is the year I want to get my health in a better place, as well as maybe even leave my job and focus on my business full-time. And if I can finish my house (at least the bits that don’t require money and workmen, or women) then that’s an added bonus.

On sprained ankles, big dreams, turning 50 and why spring always arrives right on time

And then, I sprained my ankle over new year and this year has been, quite frankly, rubbish. Not too cold, thankfully, but wet, miserable and a bit ‘urgh’. And I haven’t felt like doing anything. I haven’t done a Parkrun yet and whilst this year hasn’t been a total disaster, it’s not quite lived up to the billing I laid out towards the end of last year.

That’s OK. I believe we are where we’re supposed to be, even if that isn’t quite where we want to be.

The coldest, darkest days are behind us. Here’s what comes next.

I don’t know about you, but I feel so much happier when the sun’s out, when it’s not dark when I get up, when I leave home in the morning and when I get back in the evening and you can definitely tell spring is on the way, with the lighter days, the daffodils, croci, snowdrops, blossoms and other tell-tale signs.

Why re-emergence isn’t just a seasonal thing – it’s a you thing

We’ve nearly made it through the coldest, darkest days of the year, and it’s now time to focus on the good stuff. And that’s the theme of this month – our re-emergence, claiming our rightful place, going after what we want, and being who we truly are.

You don’t have to have nailed January to have a brilliant year
