My mind is a bit blank this week as I come to write this. I’ve been working hard, getting my podcast ready to launch in September and I haven’t done much else!

When Accountability Keeps You Going

I’ve mentioned elsewhere I’m doing a business version of the ’75 Hard’ challenge and I’ve been chipping away at things for 38 days now. I found it tough this weekend as I wanted a few days off and as I’m supposed to go into the Facebook group daily and share what I’ve done, I didn’t want to not do this.

The Hidden Power of Saying No

It got me thinking about the power of accountability (mentioned here: https://clairemelvincoaching.co.uk/the-power-of-accountability/ ) but also actually saying no. Some times it’s important to switch off, down tools and just chill out. I definitely didn’t go crazy this weekend but there was no tool downing!

Why Balance Beats Burnout

I did put in the group that whilst I love the accountability and consistency, if I weren’t doing this challenge, I would definitely have turned everything off and that’s something I want to be able to do from October (when the challenge is over).

It’s about the balance; going for it, but also recognising that having some time away is so important for your health and sanity.

I’ve got the Grange Hill song ‘Just Say No’ in my head now (and apologies for the ear worm I’ve given you!) but I am making a serious point. Yes, go after your goals, make lists, tick things off, but also know when to stop, when to smell the coffee, when to just be.

Enjoying the Journey, Not Just the Destination

This has actually been the theme of this month – essentially enjoy the journey, don’t just focus on the destination and I’m reminding us we need to do that.

Looking Ahead: Four Months Left in 2025

It’s September next week, there are still 4 months left of 2025 and there’s so much you can still achieve. Balance, well-being and gratitude for what you do have are good places to start, however, or aims to have. And if you want some help in setting and reaching your goals, please get in touch; I’d love to help you.
