Too Many Ideas… So I Wrote Nothing
I didn’t know what I wanted to talk about in my blog this week, so initially I didn’t write anything. I think there were too many choices, a bit of overwhelm, some fatigue, and rather than sit down and start writing and see what came, I ‘busied’ myself around the house and metaphorically stuck two fingers in my ears and sang ‘la la la’!

June Is the Perfect Time to Reflect and Reset
I started the month by sharing that June is a great month to reflect, reset, evaluate where you are and then focus on the rest of the year, as you can get a lot done in 6 months.

I Took a Break, Then Lost Momentum
I took a week off (it was my birthday and following exams all throughout adolescence and uni, I generally don’t work on my birthday), had a great time, was all ready to refocus and look forward to the rest of the year and then found myself unexpectedly floundering.

No big spanner in the works, nothing happened, I just had a block. This can happen to us all though. We think we’re cruising, life is great and then we just stop.

It’s Easy to Be Hard on Yourself — But Don’t
It’s easy to give yourself a hard time (especially when you’re trying to build a business and consistency is key) but that’s not what’s necessary. Instead, I treated myself with compassion, allowed myself to take a couple of days off and just chilled.

My Monday Pep Talk and Getting My Bounce Back
Monday came along, I gave myself a little pep talk (including reminding myself that I’m choosing to have my own business, and the reasons why I’m doing this) and now I feel a lot more like me and have my bounce again.

Does This Sound Familiar? You’re Not Alone
Does this sound familiar? Life is great, or at least good one minute and then it’s not. It could be a little change that’s required to get back on track, or it could be a big one — and sometimes it’s hard to know which is best or ‘right’.

But there aren’t necessarily right choices. There are choices you make, with the best of intentions, with all the information that you have at the time. And if it’s not the ‘right’ choice, guess what? You can make another one!

Start with Kindness and Small Steps
If this is something that you think you’d like help with, drop me a line — I’d love to help.

And if you are stuck, be kind to yourself. Do something you love. Maybe go for a walk and get some fresh air and just be. That’s a great starting place to become unstuck.
